Prestige Dental Clinic is now accepting referrals from GDPs across Central Scotland for a full range of oral surgery services. We currently have no waiting list, so referred patients can be seen promptly.
Surgical extractions
We accept referrals for surgically complex and impacted extractions, including impacted or ankylosed third molars, retained roots, and extractions complicated by proximity to the inferior alveolar nerve or maxillary sinus. Suitable for patients where extraction falls outside the scope of routine general practice.
IV conscious sedation for oral surgery
IV sedation is available to support NHS patients undergoing surgical extractions where dental anxiety, gag reflex, complexity of treatment make sedation the appropriate route. This can be arranged alongside the surgical referral so the patient is assessed and treated in a single pathway.
Dental implants
Single-tooth and multi-unit implant placement, including cases requiring pre-implant planning and staged treatment. We’re happy to work with the referring practice’s own restorative plan, or to provide restorative recommendations where needed.
Full arch implants
Full arch implant rehabilitation for patients requiring complete arch reconstruction, including planning for fixed full-arch restorations. We work closely with the referring practice throughout treatment planning and can advise on suitability at the referral stage.
Implant-retained dentures
Implant placement to support overdentures, offering improved stability and retention for patients struggling with conventional dentures. Suitable for both upper and lower arches, with treatment planned around the patient’s existing denture where possible.
Sinus lift procedures
Lateral window and crestal approach sinus augmentation for patients with insufficient bone height in the posterior maxilla, typically as a precursor to implant placement.
Atraumatic tooth extraction
Extraction using techniques designed to preserve the alveolar ridge and socket architecture, supporting better outcomes for future implant placement or pontic aesthetics.
Guided bone regeneration
Bone grafting and membrane techniques to rebuild deficient ridge volume, either at the time of extraction or as a staged procedure ahead of implant placement.
Private IV conscious sedation
Available for any of the above private procedures, for patients who would benefit from a more relaxed treatment experience due to anxiety, medical complexity, or the length/nature of the procedure.
Please note that patients will be asked for a deposit to secure their appointment. This is deducted from the total cost of treatment for fee-paying patients, and refunded in full to patients who are exempt from charges, provided the appointment is attended.
