I qualified in Dentistry from Glasgow University in 1999 and passed my Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2001. I subsequently studied Medicine at The University of Dundee and qualified as a medical doctor in 2005. Following several years working in the varying disciplines of medicine and surgery throughout the West of Scotland I returned primarily to work within Dentistry.
I was awarded the Membership to The Royal College of Emergency Medicine in January 2017.
I am fully registered with both the General Dental Council (75828), the General Medical Council (6129667). I was previously an examiner for the MFDS examination at The Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow and held an appointment as a Clinical Lecturer in Medicine in Relation to Dentistry at the University of Glasgow for several years.
I have a special interest in implant dentistry and have been involved in this field since 2007. I regularly attend national and international meetings on the subject and offer a full range of implant services at several clinics throughout the country.
I am a member of The British Medical Association.
Nollaig O'Callaghan BA BDentSc (Hons)
Associate Dental Surgeon GDC No. 72663 (Female)
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Morning & Friday
After graduating from Trinity College Dublin in 1996 with honours I completed vocational training in Falkirk associated with the University of Glasgow, then joining the practice in March 1998. Over my years in Rutherglen, I have built long lasting relationships with large numbers of patients and their families, providing high-quality dental treatment in a friendly relaxed manner.
I enjoy all aspects of general dental practice, and I am enthusiastic in motivating patients of all ages in helping them to improve and maintain excellent oral health. The challenge of restoring a patient to full dental health, especially those who may not have attended the dentist in a long time and may have lost confidence as a result, is something I find very rewarding. I believe a nice smile with healthy teeth & gums is so important for self-belief and overall health and well-being.I am committed to continuing professional development and regularly attend postgraduate dental courses to keep abreast with current trends, thinking and techniques in dentistry

I qualified from Glasgow Dental School in 2023, having previously studied Biomedical Science at the University of Dundee. I completed my Vocational Training at Park Dental Centre and recently made the move to Prestige Dental Clinic. I look forward to building my relationship with the patients here at Rutherglen and delivering good quality dentistry.
I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry but have a particular interest in minor oral surgery and removable prosthodontics (dentures). I keen to move forward with technology in dentistry and enjoy using the new techniques for example scanners and digital dentures.
Outside of dentistry I enjoy watching football, playing golf and walking my dog Bailey.
